Our mission statement is simple. We seek to honor God as we serve others. We meet the fourth Thursday of every month at 6pm. Our group enjoys several activities such as visiting our shuts ins, making and delivering cookies and candies at Christmastime to our shut ins and widows, same for Valentines Day. We have partnered with Warmth and Comfort for the Elderly in Upstate SC to provide needed items monthly for the elderly in facilities. We have put together a clothes closet (Christs’ Comfort Closet), which should be opening within the next week or so. And hope to add a food pantry to help those in need. As you can see, we like to be busy. The Holy Spirit cannot steer a car that is stopped.
If you have elderly or sick parents who attend BRV and need a hand with chores or their yard, please let me know. I am somewhat new to the church (two years) and do not know everyone, but I would hate for a member to be in need and us know about it. When Jesus comes back, I want Him to see me working. Working to honor Him, to praise Him and grow His kingdom.
All for Jesus, Amy Newton
