About Blue Ridge View:

Blue Ridge View is a loving people who strive for spiritual growth and closeness with God as well as others. The mission of Blue Ridge View is to be passionate for Jesus Christ, fulfill our purpose of glorifying God, and to reach our community, the surrounding areas, and the world with the love of Jesus Christ. Blue Ridge View is a conservative church that falls under the Southern Baptist Convention, which also studies the King James Version of the Bible. As for weekly Sunday meetings, the church meets for Sunday School followed by the morning service, and then a Sunday night service.

The youth at Blue Ridge View are an energetic and welcoming community of people. The youth meet every Wednesday night for pre-service food and service. The youth begin service with announcements, then a time of worship in song, before being disciplined with a Spirit-filled sermon. As for youth activities, the youth tend to participate in choir singing around the community, summer camp(s), and seasonal church league sports teams.

Job Description

Faithfully teach, preach, and exemplify God’s Word.

Work closely with the Senior Pastor and staff to carry out the church’s vision and mission.

Assist Senior Pastor with visitation, including homebound, hospital, senior care facilities, and prospects.

Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

Plan, organize, and implement related ministry programs.

Work closely with and support all other ministries within the church.

Encourage youth involvement in all other ministries within the church.

Partner with the children’s director to encourage growth as well as college and career leaders to sustain the continuance of former students.

Partner with churches and community leaders to spread the Word and love of God.

Provide ministry to and with parents of students, helping them develop Biblical skills to live a Christian life in today’s world.

Lead, recruit, and train adult leadership to assist in accomplishing desired tasks in youth ministry.

Be a presence on the campuses of community schools, including but not limited to eating with, attending events, developing relationships with other students, and assisting the administration of schools.

Be a visible presence in the communities where our students and families live, play, and work.

Publish a timely calendar of events and ministry opportunities as they relate to students, parents, and adult leadership.

Make and maintain close contact with students and parents, keeping them informed and encouraging involvement.

Oversee and evaluate youth Sunday School.

Coordinate and foster youth fundraising opportunities.
